OPPORTUNITIES, INC. is Hiring a Sales Rep Near Homewood, IL

Job Purpose:

Generate profitable sales revenue through new customers and growing business with existing clients. Additionally, there will be an expectation to penetrate current markets the company services and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. 

Essential Functions:

  1. Achieve or exceed sales/revenue goals by developing and growing sales for accounts in assigned market.
  2. Build and nurture customer relationships.
  3. Independently qualify sales leads and close on sales orders.
  4. Identify new business opportunities for markets
  5. Utilize the Company’s CRM Tool (Salesforce) as means to manage customer relationships, including business reviews, critical documents (i.e. NDAs, Purchase orders, etc), opportunities and leads.
  6. Candidates must see sales as a profession and not a job.
  7. Actively participates in sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  8. Investigate customer requirements and resolve their challenges to foster long-term partnerships.
  9. Act as primary communication link between customers and the Company. Provide key interface between customer, marketing, and technical services.
  10. Able to work vertically within the prospects/customers that he/she calls upon.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Actively participates in industry conferences and trade shows.
  2. Clearly articulates company vision for business to customers and industry partners.
  3. Accounts Receivables: A sale is not a sale until it is paid.

Qualifications Guidelines

Experience/Training/Education:

Required: Professional Salesperson who has achieved or exceeded sales and gross profit goals in their career with a minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales. The individual must have experience within the markets we currently service, including an understanding of the transportation industry. 

Desired: Well-rounded professional network of individuals within the Pharma & Healthcare Industry.

  • Self-motivated and competitive drive to be successful.
  • Understands general sales and business development methods.
  • Experience developing and growing sustainable customer relationships.
  • Ability to uncover and identify a customer’s need for our products.
  • Understands basic concept of customer service.
  • Execute presentations while speaking confidently to small & mid-size audiences.
  • Solid listening, comprehension and articulate skills.
  • Recognizes value & consequences of using professional social media platforms.
  • Peripheral skills as it relates to industry trends and competition.
  • Experience working with CRM Tool.
  • Understands the basics of modern technology.

Physical and Environmental Elements:

This is primarily an office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Works frequently offsite in various environments; significant travel is required. There is some physical activity of demonstrating the application/removal of our products in the field. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Must be able to speak clearly and communicate clearly. The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports, records, and other materials that typically weigh less than 30 pounds.

Special Requirements/Certification:

  • Requires travel of 40%.
  • Company Headquarters to be “home” office.
